World War 4 is in a 60-day test. This page explains what the game knows about you, why, and for how long.
The controller is the developer of World War 4. Contact: Radovanhorvath1990@gmail.com.
Playing in the test requires an account: a username, e-mail address and password (stored only as a secure hash). The e-mail is used solely to confirm the account and recover the password. The account receives a random player ID; all game data is tied to that ID, not to the e-mail.
To balance the game we record anonymous gameplay events: play time, level and army state, which buildings (by their in-game number) you searched, attacked or captured, battle outcomes, cards and gear used, missions completed, slot purchases, tutorial steps and progress resets. The legal basis is the controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in tuning its own game. You can switch this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & data.
The game uses precise location to show the map, verify your distance from buildings, and exchange units with a nearby friend. For those actions, location is sent to the World War 4 server; during an exchange it is retained only while that exchange remains open. The map provider receives the geographic area needed to download map data, without your e-mail address or game account ID.
The separate "Approximate location (city)" switch controls only whether optional gameplay statistics include a city code or coarse area with roughly 5 km precision. It is off by default and can be disabled at any time. Precise location is not stored in gameplay telemetry.
We do not collect contacts, photos, phone contents or identifiers for advertising. The game uses no advertising SDK and does not track you across apps. We do not sell data.
If you allow notifications, the game stores your phone's push token on the server so it can tell you when your building is under attack. The token is removed when you sign out or permanently delete the account.
Game statistics and operational gameplay records are kept for at most 60 days and then deleted automatically. Account data and current game state are kept while the account exists.
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Delete gameplay statistics in Settings → Privacy & data → "Delete my gameplay statistics". Permanently delete the account and all progress from account settings. Send other requests to the contact above. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
The game is intended for players aged 16 and over.
When this policy changes, the game shows the new text and its effective date.
